Canyon Creek Church Site Redesign

This was a major redesign, remodel, demolotion/rebuild project. Canyon Creek Church, a mill creek church plant, started in 2004 was needing a new web site to fit their ever growing church. They needed a site that portrayed them accurately. Including a new CMS, and collaboration with the community occuring a various social networking sites. Namely, facebook.

I had a team of 3 other individuals that I managed. My primary job outside of project manager was the back-end implementation of ExpressionEngine. The site is maintained by close to 10 people with varying technical skills, so the CMS needed to be simple, but fit within the massive project. After our graphic designer developed the original site, I implemented additional design elements to fit within her style. I also optimized the HTML, CSS & JavaScript to increase performance. Finally, search engine optimization was vital to the construction of this site. The site was built with the most current SEO tactics to help it climb the the Google search charts and bring in traffic. In the first 6 months, the traffic had already increase 40%.
