An Event Apart Book List

Sat, January 09, 2010 · 08:44 AM

I had an incredible opportunity last spring to attend An Event Apart ‘09 in Seattle - a conference for “people who make websites”. Being my first web conference ever, it was quite the experience, and I hope to have a chance to attend more conferences in the future.

What is a Content Management System (CMS)? · Page Structure

Wed, July 08, 2009 · 03:15 PM

Remember the pain of building your first web site? You spend hours on something so small, but once you complete the task, you have an internal battle of glee from the new thing you just learned and disbelief at the amount of time it took you to accomplish the task.

Growing up in the church, I’ve seen a lot of horrible church web sites, and I am proud to say that all the hard work Tanya has put in is paying off.

As she finishes the design, Rob, our...

What’s a blog?

Tue, August 05, 2008 · 02:28 PM

My name is Jim Arment, and I am an upcoming web designer.  I’ve spent the last 6 months pursuing this career path with any and every bit of extra time I have on a computer.  If there’s one thing I found on my first 6 months of my journey to become an accomplished web designer who can, someday, provide enough income to support my wife and future kids while not working so much that I don’t get to spend time with the...
